Sacred Journey for Future Generations arriving in Saskatoon today

stanley mission walkersAs you may be aware, a group from Stanley Mission is walking to Ottawa in support of Idle No More, against the omnibus bills and to protect our land and water for future generations.

On Saturday April 6th they will be arriving in Saskatoon and will be hosted at a potluck supper at the Core Neighborhood Youth Co-op.

The Journey will be starting at 10:00 A.M. at the north side of the Warman overpass on Hwy 11. They will be walking into Saskatoon, along Idylwyld Drive, up to 20th Street West, and then along 20th to the Core Neighborhood Youth Co-op @ 905 20th St. W for the Potluck Fundraiser event.

They will then start the Journey again on Sunday morning, at Idylwyld Drive and 20th Street, time and route to be announced tomorrow.

All who are willing to come out and support them, please be safe. Experience from past walks has shown it is better to have fewer vehicles and more walkers within the City, so please make arrangements to get rides or car pool. Extending a big thank you to all of the supporters, organizers, and helpers in Saskatoon!
