Back in April, I was asked by a group of concerned U of S Senate members if I would speak to the Senate about the real impacts that the nuclear industry has had on First Nations and Aboriginal communities in northern Saskatchewan. When respected usual channels failed, I took it upon myself to make an offering of tobacco to the Chancellor of the University, Blaine Favel. He accepted the offering after some hesitation but deferred that he would invite me to speak at a Senate Forum at a later date.
He followed through, inviting me to be heard at this event as one of 4 perspectives on the nuclear issue.
On September 16, 2016 the U of S held a Senate Forum on Indigenous Issues pertaining to Nuclear.
